Tye Mihocko Wins The Battle Of 4 Cars For Multiple Laps Dicing It Out At LPS

The final tuneup before Indiana Sprint Week At LPS brought 31 entries with a loaded field. The 4 fast times in their groups were Chance Crum, Kale Drake, Nic Harris and Zack Pretorius. Heat race 1 Rylan Gray looked very strong for the win over Daniel Whitley, Logan Calderwood and Brayden Clark. Heat race 2 another wild one with Jack Hoyer winning from 4th over Geoff Ensign from 6th to 2nd, Ivan Glotzbach and Blake Vermillion from 8th to 4th. Heat race 3 Brent Beauchamp came from 4th to win it over Nic Harris, Seth Parker and Brandon Spencer. The final heat was won by Tye Mihocko from 4th over Zack Pretorius, Brayden Fox and Jesse Vermillion. Harley Burns won the B main over Daylan Chambers, Kyle Johnson and John Sluss making the A. Next up the 25 lap A main and it was a dandy once again. Rylan and Tye drew the front row and the 06 of Rylan Gray would take the early lead and he has looked better each week at the big curb in 2024. Rylan would hold his lead the first 10 laps but then it was about to get wild with 4 cars battling it out big time. Rylan, Tye, Geoff and Zack were all in an intense battle up front. While this was happening Seth and Harley were coming from 11th and 17th with Brayden coming from 12th to the front. It was wild from the front to the back with 3 grooves working for different drivers. The final 5 laps Tye was able to take the lead from Rylan and went on to another victory in the 24P. Following Tye Mihocko at the finish it was Seth Parker, Rylan Gray, Geoff Ensign, Brayden Fox, Harley Burns and Jesse Vermillion. This was an outstanding 25 laps and it was hard for me to score it because I wanted to watch it instead. As I always say Thanks to the 31 heroes for sure in the sprints and other divisions that I consider friends and super talented for our great fans to enjoy every Saturday at LPS. Looking forward to some of these names up front during Sprint Week for sure.

The UMP Mods had 14 entries with Cody Wright and Derek Losh getting the fast times in their groups. Heat race 1 Will Bennett would take the win over Cody Wright and Jacob Steinway. Heat race 2 Derek Losh would win it from the pole over Matt Mitchell and Jerry Bland Jr. This setup the 20 lap A main and drawing the front row it was Cody Wright and Derek Losh. Good battle early with Derek Losh taking the lead. Cody and Will would have a great battle for 2nd until Will had to pull to the infield with a problem. The 2nd half of the race Derek was building his lead but the 2 to watch were Rob Fuqua who came from 9th to 3rd and Richie Lex who came from 8th to 4th. Both of these veterans put on a great show for the fans. In the end it was Derek Losh picking up a big win over Cody Wright, Rob Fuqua, Richie Lex, Jerry Bland Jr. and Jacob Steinway. Thanks to the UMP mods for another great show as the Indiana and National points are heating up for the better spots on the UMP stage.

The UMP Super Stocks had 13 entries and the fast times were Ryan Freeland and Wade Goodale in their groups. Heat race 1 Justin Massie kept his winning ways going by winning the heat over Ryan Freeland and Larry Raines. Heat race 2 had Devin Wallen taking the win over Wade Goodale and Elijah Freeland. This setup the 20 lap A main with Ryan and Wade drawing the front row. This was a great battle early with Ryan Freeland looking very strong taking the lead. In one of his best runs of 2024 Ryan would control most of the race with less than 5 laps to go there was a yellow. On the restart the 55J of Justin Massie got the top side to stick in the slick off the cushion and took the top spot away from Ryan and went on to take the big win. Justin was followed at the finish by Ryan Freeland, Tucker Chastain, Wade Goodale and Larry Raines. We are hopeful that Devin Wallen is okay after a very hard hit on the backstretch while he was running a very good race in 3rd place. Thanks to all the UMP Super Stocks who put on a fantastic show with some of the best in the UMP nation weekly.

The Bombers had 17 entries and Corey Anstead and Josh Foxworthy had the fast times in their groups. Heat race 1 had Scott Tidwell win it from his 2nd starting spot over Corey Anstead and Tyler Rodgers. Heat race 2 Josh Foxworthy won it from the pole over Megan Cavaness and Cody Tate. This setup the 15 lap A main. Unfortunately for Scott who drew the front row his #55 had problems while rolling onto the track for the A main. This gave the front row to Josh Foxworthy. A good battle early but Josh was able to hold off the rest of the field for another big win over Corey Anstead, Gary Hayden, Cody Tate, Megan Cavaness and David Wallen. Thanks to all the Bomber teams who put on a great show every week. This Friday is the opener of Indiana Sprint week at LPS. We are really excited to open up the huge week on The BIG CURB. See you Friday at LPS.
